Great Idea...?

My neighbourly colleague Roy has made a suggestion - ordinarily his suggestions are either too pornographic or too down right dumb to even bother listening to, but today he has surprised me. He has suggested, as one of my more loyal readers, that having a Guest Blogger once a month would add a new dimension to I Like To Complain.

My initial thoughts are that this is a truly brilliant idea. However, I am all too aware that the temazepam and two large gin and tonics I consumed last night may be clouding my judgement, so I require your opinion. Please let me know:
a) your view of the validity of this suggestion,
b) your potential interest in being a Guest Blogger yourself, and
c) any ideas on restrictions and/or limitations to the content and subject of a Guest Bloggers 'spot'.

If your comments are wholly positive, Roy will get a pat on the back. If your comments prove that my levels of intoxication are making me sink into Roy's little world of clear stupidity, he will get a slap on the back of the head.

Sally I think that is a great idea. In fact, that is the best idea I have heard in a long time.
That roy is quite a smart chap!

I think the beauty of this blog is that it is all from our lovely Sally. It's kind of like Carrie on Sex in the City. If someone else wrote an article in her column, it just wouldn't be right. So, I think this should just be Sally's domain and no guest blogger.
So... to Roy: PLEURGHFFFFF... your suggestion isn't good.
Now, can I watch Sally hit you on the head ;o)

Sally Cat, I suggest you conduct a pilot with Roy as the guest blogger! You can then move forward based on the feedback from your loyal fan base ?! What do you say ?! Mwah

Unless you can guarantee that each post will be written with the same amount of character, wit and sensational sentence structure...I'm a no on this one.

BUT.. should you proceed... I reckon you should retain the right to edit or deny a crap post. Particularly those with poor spelling.

Oh my god Sally, I can't believe you have so much time on your hands that not only do you write this stuff but you consider ways of giving it an even bigger role in your life too! I say Roy, Sally, all of you bloggers, GET A LIFE!

PS. I may be a little bitter because you forgot my birthday...
